Two Truths and a Lie

I’ll go first… Symptom regulation is conceptually simple but takes commitment and work to apply effectively.  My symptoms were so severe that for many years of my life I didn’t intend to experience the future.  The goal is to make all of our symptoms go away.  Can you guess which one is the lie?

The answer is the last one.  The goal is not necessarily symptom regulation; the goal is to experience peace, psychologically and physiologically.  For some people that means acceptance, flow states, and smooth transitions in and out of symptom spikes.  For myself, and for many like me, peace and second-nature symptom regulation are nearly synonymous.

I said symptom regulation is conceptually simple.  What does this mean?  It means I’m not special and I’m not teaching you magic tricks.  “My job is to listen, then point at the door I feel will benefit you most.  But that’s your door, and you’re the one who’s gotta walk through it.”  Am I shamelessly quoting myself?  Yes.  The point is what we do together is work, and the more you dedicate yourself to practicing what you learn, the more reward.  Simple, right?  Simple in concept.  Want to experience a world everyone told you wasn’t possible?  Click the button and we’ll talk soon.
